I love helping people to find their inner peace, to understand themselves enabling them to live a happy life and have happy relationships. I especially love helping men to become emotionally intelligent, to become better communicators, fathers and partners.

My counselling approach is kind, respectful, genuine, accepting and understanding, no matter what issues someone is struggling with. I am passionate about people’s personal growth; wellness and helping people develop the confidence to reach their full potential.

I believe that no two clients are exactly alike, and for that reason I utilise an integrative approach, tailoring the sessions to best assist each client and use a number of approaches.

Getting my clients to see their situation through more enlightening and empowering perspectives; training couples and singles how to express vulnerability – i.e. feelings, needs and wants –  in a constructive and authentic way; offering practical and down to earth advice.

I am a very reflective person and always reflect on my practice, my life, my marriage of 24 years, my 3 kids and how I parent them, and reflect on my family and friendships. Reflecting is the key to personal growth.
We all need to learn from past mistakes or patterns of behavior that have caused us problems in relationships. Muhammad Ali once said β€œIf we are the same person at 50 that we were when we were 20, then we haven’t grown at all”. We all need to learn to express our emotions and learn to talk out issues in safe way to ensure both people in the relationship feel heard. We all need to learn to be assertive and manage conflict safely.
I have been scuba diving for 20 years all over Australia and the world. I also love snorkeling, football, cricket and socializing with family and friends.
